Immigration Justice Now!
Faith Matters Network invites The ReMIX, a Nashville-based community organizing group, to share resources and educate us on how communities of faith can act in solidarity during an era of mass deportations. As we near the 100-day mark of this new administration, we have witnessed increased hostility and action against our immigrant neighbors. What is our role as people of faith in this crisis? How can we use our voices to resist anti-immigrant measures and protect human rights? This virtual session is a call to action for all people and communities of faith throughout the US.
Join us on Wed, May 7th at Noon CST/1 PM EST for this important live info session via Zoom.
The ReMIX began in 2019 when a group of community members made a commitment to protect their immigrant neighbors by mobilizing and educating the community on their rights as a means of supporting those affected by deportation. Since then they have become a robust sanctuary network of over 35 faith organizations dedicated to this work throughout the state of Tennessee. Their all-volunteer network has raised money, distributed resources, held trainings, engaged in rapid response, and have accompanied undocumented families along their journey.
